LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER SECTION 119 - HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 PUBLIC FOOTPATH G69 (PART) AT LIMES FARM, NETHER BROUGHTON IN THE PARISH OF BROUGHTON AND OLD DALBY AND THE BOROUGH OF MELTON PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order made on 5 th February 2025 will divert the part of Footpath G69, shown as a bold continuous line on Plan No. 2655, which extends from point "A" on the plan, situated approximately 5 metres east of a junction with Middle Lane, Nether Broughton and at grid reference 46959 32559, in a generally east north-easterly then easterly direction along the driveway of Limes Farm and into the adjacent field, for a distance of approximately 95 metres to point "B" on the plan, situated at grid reference 46968 32560. The alternative route shown as a bold broken line on Plan No. 2655, will extend from point "A" on the plan, previously described, in a generally north easterly direction along the driveways to Limes Farm and No. 35 The Limes for a distance of approximately 10 metres, to point "C" on the plan, situated at grid reference 46959 32560 and will then continue in a generally easterly then south easterly direction along the north side of the hedge separating a field from Limes Farm drive, then continuing through some trees, for a further distance of approximately 90 metres to re-join the existing Footpath at point "B" on the plan, previously described. The new alternative Footpath will have a width of 2.5m between grid references 46959 32559 and 46968 32560 (A-C-B on the plan).

A copy of the Order and map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200 Main Building, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicestershire, LE3 8RA and the offices of Melton Borough Council, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1GH during office opening hours. A copy has also been sent to Broughton and Old Dalby Parish Council. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a cost.

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to me at the undermentioned address quoting reference HT/HTWMT/5759 not later than 20th March 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made. Alternatively, objections can be emailed to hayley.tennant@leics.gov.uk.

If no such representation or objection is duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Leicestershire County Council may confirm the Order as unopposed. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which has not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
